This sort of stuff genuinely scares me to try Google cloud, ever. Even if I were to try something on the aside, it's scary how much I rely on Google services, and how monumentally screwed I would be, if my Google account would get disabled somehow without any recourse.

Likewise. I do envy the GP. Currently looking for work, and this has not been my experience.

I'm currently going through this right now. I gave myself a month to "study" for the tech interviews, but I find myself demotivated and can't muster the time or the effort to go through them. I'd do one or two Leetcode problems, but that's it.

Hopefully things get better.

I'm thinking of doing this and I haven't yet figured out how to migrate all the accounts I have associated with my GMail account. Do you have any suggestion/tips for a fellow potential immigratnt? :)

I moved to Tutanota and what I did is forward all my Gmail emails to my Tutanota email. It made it much easier to switch because I could immediately start using Tutanota and then migrate my accounts overtime to eventually delete Google completely.

As someone _making_ those user feedbacks as an employee of MSFT, I've never felt heard nor taken seriously. Apathy from users is unfortunately earned by experiences. I'm glad your experiences have been better, and don't mean to generalize my experiences. I am however providing another datapoint.

In a same boat. I must have filed hundreds of internal feedback & bug reports to see none of them addressed. Nowadays I remember to double click the right-click context menu, because right-click + V doesn't open a file on a gvim anymore...

I had used some registry hacks to disable the new context menu. And now have installed explorer patch (mentioned in article and this thread) to fix other issues.

You should give it a shot!

Can confirm. I've set up a filter for amazon recruiters and haven't looked at it since. I don't find them worthwhile to respond.

My apologies. Will heed this next time. Thanks for reverting the title.

Appreciated!

Wow, what happened? Loss of 10+ percentage of market share is pretty huge. Or did the market simply expand that quickly?

I've definitely run into companies in Amazon-adjacent fields of endeavor employing a "no AWS" rule.

Maybe I'm a minority, but I've been happy with my 10-year-old Das Keyboard (cherry blue) for home usage and 4-year-old FILCO Majestouch (cherry brown) for the office. They're "boring" - they don't have anything fancy on them but they look like keyboards and they're pleasurable to type on.

Recently, I thought of replacing my Das Keyboard and tried to get something equally "boring" - it was sad to see that they don't have the boring option anymore without at least one or two spinny wheel or flash function key.

Leopold is boring, aside from being able to pull double duty as bludgeoning weapons.

Thanks! will take a look.
