This is genuinely exciting. I was a big B5 fan, and disappointed that the live action reboot never happened. This feels like the next best thing, and in some ways may be even better, since we won't need to rationalize why the actors appears so much older.
I am however curious to know who they will get to replace the talents of Andreas Katsulas, Richard Biggs, Stephen Furst and others who have sadly passed on. Still, I'm stoked that most of the original cast is returning, under the original showrunner.

It's mentioned in the article: "The voice cast also includes Paul Guyet as Zathras and Jeffery Sinclair, Anthony Hansen as Michael Garibaldi, [..], Phil LaMarr as Dr. Stephen Franklin, [..] Andrew Morgado as G’Kar and Rebecca Riedy as Delenn."
I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this; after Katsulas' passing in 2006 jms wrote "Andreas is gone...and G'Kar with him, because no one else can ever play that role, or ever will". People are entitled to change their opinion of course, but I find myself agreeing with that statement.
But I guess for an animated show it can work? We'll see...
As for the reboot, it seems it's still underway, according to [2]: "The separate B5 reboot/reimagining is still alive and well, just on hold until the Writers Strike is resolved."
I'm fairly sure jms has stated on quite a few occasions that Babylon 5 had very little network interference and could mostly do what they wanted. There were a few exceptions, but they're fairly minor.
Just got done watching all of the seasons again (for the third time). I keep forgetting how incredibly sad the last few episodes are. It's a gut punch every time especially knowing the reality of how many of the actors have passed on since. One of the only shows that properly ends and gives a sense of closure. Almost too good.
One of my favorite shows of all time. Excited to watch anything that's even remotely related to this.
I really really hate how Sheridan doesn't die at the end; I felt Lorien saving him at the last minute with this meta-physical "beyond the rim" crap really took the punch out of things. In general I felt all that meta-physical stuff like "humans will evolve in to beings of pure light and goodness" was one of the weakest aspects of the show.
It's still a good episode overall, but the last minute or so really ruined it IMO.
