This got me so excited I've decided to dedicate my spring break to getting acquainted with HTML5 by learning to us http://processingjs.org
I think HTML5 could quite likely liberate JavaScript from the DOM altogether and provide the necessary foundation for revolutionizing 'the manner' in which we develop the browser as a client-side application on 'some system' while further streamlining the web-server as a means of storage. I mean HTML5 could very well be the solution for writing formidable JavaScript that can do so much more besides molesting the DOM. ;)
