Awesome that this is a key component of the product. And Dalton has commited that it will remain a critical piece.

Crazy cool experience building relationships providing long-term benefit.

@keKatie will be departing from West Coast. Woot!

This things was a blast last year -- and produced not only amazing business/product stuff, but also an interesting 'alumni' that is even stronger today. Highly recommended!

To add to what Jason said, I own 5g.com and would likewise entertain similar ideas/participation -- and would combine with other opportunities/partners for the right group: steve at radwebtech.com

I wonder if that name has some serious potential marketing for Sprint/AT&T/Verizon or whatever when their networks advance further. Already Sprint pushes "4G", and while it may be meaningless (or at least poorly representative), they might still be interested in that particular domain?

Has anyone else experienced this problem? We do not have any ads on the DPP site, I am unable to replicate the problem, and we would appreciate any additional information on this. Thanks.

The js is here http://ie.eracou.com/3

You need to upgrade/harden your WP install. http://www.google.com/search?client=ubuntu&channel=fs...

EDIT:

Found it embedded in your feed http://blog.dataportability.org/feed/

I sent an email to your personal account. I would recommend puting it in your HN profile so it would be easier to contact you at a later point in time. If you would like I can scan all of your sites for more spyware/vulnerabilities. You can contact me at the address in my profile.

Yes, I was redirected to a tinyurl. I have previews on.

Seems to be a bit of nasty Javascript on this page attempting to redirect. Avast stopped it on my end(XP user).

Yes, the exact same thing happened to me.

It happened to me as well.

You can also embed the version number in the API call itself, using a default if not passed or auto detecting based on what is passed.

Ultimately this is a market-driven thing; data portability will continue to be an important issue and will increasingly become a measure of openness that users weigh when deciding whether or not to participate in a service.
