Excited to use this on the Retroid Pocket 5. Currently using https://knulli.org/ on an RG35XX-H and found it to be really nice also

I have muOS on my H. I find it's better than Knulli because the wifi works reliably.

I also like the Syncthing integration, I can easily share saves and save states to my computer which is simple but feels very cool.

You might enjoy Totally Accurate Battle Simulator, although it's pretty shallow in most areas, you can configure the position and composition of your army's units and then watch the battle play out in real-time.

That's awesome (and I've seen other variations on this theme that were also very cool like Elaborate Spaceship Battles) but what I'm talking about looking for is exactly the opposite.

MechCommander 1/2 and the current BattleTech are kinda close since at least I only do the strategy between missions.

Note that Brood War's requirement for Macro -and- Micro play is also fun - too many RTS games let me win via Macro and then rolling over the enemy with effectively unlimited forces - but I really like tactical battles where the point of the game is the tactical side, because sometimes that's what I really want to spend my gaming time focusing on.

For threads you could implement something like Telegram's "Reply" feature. E.g. long press or swipe on a prior entry when typing a message, then when it's sent it has a clickable link to the prior message embedded above it.

Either way I'm definitely going to be checking this out as it's very similar to how I already use the Notes app for journaling type entries.

Would be great to see the thread of "replies" functionality also. I use that feature in Telegram and WhatsApp for chaining related stuff. I have long lists like that.

And separate streams for work and personal is definitely one use for me. And I create temporary streams for a project or a trip. Horizontal scroll could work great!

This tends to happen at a smaller scale with gaming consoles. Towards the end of a generation, the games coming out usually perform/look a lot better than the ones at the beginning of the generation. I'm assuming due to a lot more careful optimizations due to not being able to change the hardware.

I've always been curious about how far we could really push modern computers if somebody wanted to spend the time going to the lengths in the original post when creating practical software. Of course it's usually not worth the tradeoff, but it's interesting to think about.

> (I did wish I had more control at the wall; I only had on/off switches and would have liked to have a dimmer and a button to toggle different programs.)

For what it's worth this is possible now with their Smart Button

This is really cool! Do you have any in depth posts describing the ML behind this?

Not yet, but it seems that we will talk about it

In the _middle_ of my backswing, sir?

Also 'askew'

'define anagram' or 'do a barrel roll'

Also same. I'd also like the ability to pay maybe a bit more and be able to gift full access to friends/family.

It was even originally designed to be calculated mechanically
