It could be a risk to their culture, Nvidia could become more like Intel instead of Intel becoming more like Nvidia

Nvidia, being the buying party, would dictate the direction of flow of cultural values.

Seems to not really have worked for Boeing and McDonnell Douglas though.

I've been wondering if something similar happened to Maxtor and Seagate.

Would love to hear more about these attributes and whether they are only used for software engineers or client facing roles as well

Did they operate in Germany? If you can name them, I would like to check them out?

Reminds me of Vitality health insurance in the UK

Yup related. I messaged you on LinkedIn.

Replace your national government during national elections.

Your vote doesn't matter and most likely wont change anything.

Divide and conquer.

A nomadic horse based society like the Magyars can def selectively breed horses

Horses were domesticated long before the Magyars showed up. It’s much easier to selectively breed horses if you start with domesticated ones.

I love seeing into Gumroad so much. Very curious if it's worth 100 M at the moment based on dividends

In 2023: 20.7 M Revenue - 8.9 M net income - 5.34 M dividend

With no net income growth would take about 19 years for the dividends to pay out your original investment

Will be interesting to see the 2024 numbers.

At a price of $100m and net income of $8.9m, that would be a P/E of 11 and a dividend yield of 5.34%. Assuming limited net income growth, such as a large corporation such as Coca-Cola (KO), this is a great stock! KO is kind of the poster-child for a stable, terminal business (how much more Coca-Cola / soft drinks can the world drink?), and it has a P/E of 25 and a dividend yield of 3.1 %. But, in fact, Gumroad is likely to grow earnings (and presumably the dividend), so this is an even better deal.

Where do you draw the line? Do you think only native Americans should have a vote in the USA? Or only Yakutsk in parts of Siberia?

The one that's happening in New Caledonia is not the kind of genocidal settler-colonialism that happened 100-200 years ago. It is happening here and now. There is no comparison.

Looking at your statements from a Hungarian perspective, I think you are wrong

1. The USSR always discriminated non Russian speakers. 2. Collectivisation and military occupation was used as a large scale wealth transfer. In addition forced reeducation camps and population swaps were used to put Russian observers into positions where they were first amongst equals

Russian imperialism has always been the core of the Soviet union.

When people rised up against Russian occupation they got slaughtered in Hungary in 1956 and later in 1968 with the Prague Spring Russian oppression continued

I watched his video and personally feel emotional intelligence is often used as a proxy of communication skills in general with agreeable motifs when needed

I feel there’s a strong skill aspect to it as the very emotionally intelligent people I came across had a lot of communication experience

I have always associated art deco with France and Italy primarily but I guess differences in background changes our perspective

It originated in Paris and was heavily influenced over time by various other European styles. The association with the US is probably at least partly a reflection of how much iconic Art Deco architecture there is in NYC.
