While I admittedly do not know any of the inside details, but if you read up on some of the "Glass Door" reviews on Gravity Payments, you'll see a trend of reviews commenting on the cult-like behaviour of the company. I'd suggest doing your own research on companies you apply to before you get mesmerized by their media publicity.
There appears to be a glitch / bug here. When the map first loads, it states the data is for 2018 and lists 50 countries, but the 49th country is blank and there are only 34 circles on the map. When you switch the year to anything else and switch back to 2018, the list has been truncated to 34 countries.
I'm not sure that's entirely accurate, I would have assumed the chances of dying by gun assault was even lower. How was the probability of dying from a gun assault calculated? With car accidents you can generally assume random distribution, but you have to do some math with gun statistics before you can assume random distribution (remove suicides, remove gang-related deaths, etc.)
I'd be surprised if car accidents were randomly distributed.
But assuming GP is correct, or even assuming you are correct that it's an even bigger difference, I'd argue that both are way too high, and that the gun deaths even being in the same order of magnitude as car deaths is entirely preventable, and pretty shocking in itself.
Polymer banknotes are perhaps more environmentally friendly compared to its counterpart due to its durability (resulting in fewer banknotes being manufactured). They can also be recycled after its life in circulation. On the other hand, cotton/linen banknotes are typically shredded and landfilled after their circulation life.
Not sure if this was intended, but interestingly, the company name in the native Japanese katakana notation, カラー, is indistinguishable from the English word "Color" due to the lossiness of katakana sounds.
