…electromagnetic radiation?

Edit: I stand corrected.

> [No electromagnetic radiation] whatsoever in a microwave.

WTF!? Is this leaking out of some kind of weird electromagnetic health conspiracy theory subculture?

Any trivial web search provides an avalanche of results explaining otherwise--that your microwave oven definitely uses electromagnetic radiation--including the EPA and FDA.

Or is your thesis that everybody else is wrong about wave-particle duality and photons aren't real?

Huh, TIL. So is this the same principle used in an induction stove top to heat the pan, just applied to water molecules instead of metal?

RFID tags are already used for inventory management for some items/retailers. A system like this can just piggyback on the existing tags.

It would need to expand to every product though, right? From produce to packs of gum, they would all need tags that can be reliably scanned by the bag/cart.

I’ve seen it at stores where each item is relatively more expensive (e.g. a Uniqlo).

But Free File Fillable Forms still works? Of course, it's only for federal returns.

It really hurts their welfare since their skeletal systems were not designed to handle the additional weight and means they cannot really stand on their own. The chickens will also develop lesions/burns from laying in ammonia-soaked grounds, increasing risk of infection and causing unnecessary suffering.[0]

I've been thinking of pursuing a career in secondary education—what was your experience like, and what is prompting you to leave? Personally I struggle to see myself working in the private sector, but teaching as of late seems especially challenging.

Send me an email. Happy to share some thoughts.

I know AdGuard[0] claims to have the ability of blocking YouTube ads in Safari, but I also believe it's behind an IAP. Alternatively, an Invidious instance[1] will play videos without ads. It doesn't work for music videos (thanks DRM!), and I believe you have to set the video quality to DASH in Invidious's settings for Safari to be able to play it. Not as convenient as YouTube, sure, but if you hate ads enough I think it's worth it.

It's four, and you can still get at-home tests reimbursed by your insurance plan: https://www.cms.gov/how-to-get-your-at-home-OTC-COVID-19-tes...

Four tests are in one request. It's one request per address.

And every address with a unit number counts. What's your point? I live in a 3 flat in Chicago and each floor has it's own unit designation including mine. BSMT. haha

I live in a mfh that has individual units and got kicked back. Your anecdote doesn't negate my point: mfh have more hiccups.

Mobile gaming is mostly crap, sure, but it is still quite profitable. I think the parent was referring to having a successful mobile platform like Google or Apple so that Microsoft could skim their commission off all those mobile games.

Who just bought Zynga?

Take Two. And Microsoft just bought King via Activision.

I recommend arkenfox's user.js[0] which uses (mostly) sane defaults oriented toward privacy and security. If nothing else, their user.js file is annotated so a quick Ctrl+F can help you find the exact settings you want to change.

Not exactly a reader, but I use rss2email[0]. It’s pretty easy to setup, has optional HTML/CSS support, and I run a cron job to pull feeds daily. I like being able to browse through articles wherever I can get email without having to rely on a separate, proprietary service or self-hosting.
