Citation needed. The main reason people don't die at birth as much or live longer is not some high technology, but a few basics: understanding of bacteria and the need to sterilize, access to running water, etc.
Well, in that sense even bird nests are technology. And chimpangees are known to use tools.
So, duh, just because we're benefited from such low level technology, doesn't mean we have to like any and all technology, or that it's not diminishing returns above some point.
Or, conversely, animals are alive today even without technology (and some are dying because of it, perhaps even man, if we go on with a nuclear war or some other such BS).
