Don't discard feudalism just yet. If nothing is done (and there are reasons to believe that not enough will be done to count as "more than nothing") this is what we will be getting by default.
Also, do not conflate the social concept of feudalism (survival by pledging allegiance to a chain of command that competes with other chains of command for access to resources) with the particular customs, laws (or lack thereof) and religious & aesthetic sensitivities that occurred historically the last time this happened in Western civilization. It can be argued that global corporations are already modeled on those basis and beyond the control of outdated national democracies.
