Just curious as to what type of environment dominates in the HN world, and what works best for people. Hopefully I've got the majority here...

About 3.5 feet. Tall enough that you can't see each other when you're sitting but low enough to see everyone when you stand up. We moved here from 2-person offices.

It sucks, but not as bad as open plan.

5' tall but I can see out of windows on two sides since I'm on a corner. I don't care about being in a cubicle as much as I care about sitting down all day :-(

The older I get, the more restless I become. Even though my wife has to deal with weather extremes in her job, I'm beginning to envy her!

I hear that. You have to go out of your way just to make sure you stay in average shape. Sometimes I feel like I'm glued to a chair.

Maybe add a vote for home-office workers? Been working out of my house for 20 years.

last 5 years here :-)

What about 5 feet and I have no particular emotional response to it? ;)

A picture is worth a thousand words:

As you can see, I always win the cleanest cubicle award!

Oh cubicle farm. That's a depressing office:(

Cubicle! HAHA.

I work in my undies, in my own apartment, and 14 hours removed from the "office" time zone.

Where's the "5 feet tall - not quiet/private enough to get work done" option?

Everyone in one conference room at our client's offices. Much fun.

My company issues offices to all programmers.

Perhaps this should be an option?

Done, as well as a new 'not private enough' cube option

3.5' walls + 18" of glass

That sounds kinda cool - is it good or bad?
