I didn't downvote you but it's likely not disagreement -- HN just dislikes comments that don't add value to the conversation. A message with an "I agree" or "That sucks" by itself doesn't contribute to the dialogue.

I'm sure a lot of people do agree. However single word replied rarely add anything to the discussion and definitely worsen the signal:noise ratio.
