You're in a tiny minority, right now. 2.5% of Android users use 4.4, compared to 19% using 2.3.x, 15% using 4.0.x, and _35%_ using 4.1.x. It's nice that you like it, but it's probably not worth most developers' time using 4.4-specific features for a year or so.
