The translation is correct and -- you may already know this, it's tough to tell from your comment -- is a play on the Latin phrase "horror vacui," which is usually parsed back into English as "nature abhors a vacuum."

It relates to some early (BC) physical theories which proposed that voids are impossible. Also called plenism.
