Why hate on light hearted fun? You sound a bit like a guy in his eighties yelling at kids to stop playing on the grass.

I think it's somewhere in-between. He's not really hating on the fun, he's hating that it has to invade a scenic place with unnatural signs.

I can't blame him--I like to see things as-intended. No trash in the woods, no modern equipment at historical sites, etc.
