For the record, using chrome:

- disconnect blocked Facebook, Linkedin, and Twitter

- ghostery blocked more than 20 scripts from 10 different classes of trackers (e.g. there are 5 different references to DoubleClick resources)




And while using Disconnect and Ghostery you still got tracked by IP address, your installed fonts, screen resolution, installed plugins, while your internet activity was stored by your internet provider.


Privacy is not a binary function, it's shades of gray.



The only way any of that means anything individually identifying is if the two organizations(CNN and your ISP) share data.


You forgot to add. Use chrome without logging in to Google. But then, why bother?
