Apple has been using Intel chips for several years (although they want to move to ARM soon), and Apple products are/were very successful. Home Internet sucks too. TV? Apple TV sucks too, why would Google TV be any different? Netflix works with TV vendors and embedded webapp into TV. That's included in the TV price.
