But strep is treated with antibiotics! Penicillin, unless you're allergic to it.


The point was treating a problem without verifying what the problem is.


If the treatment was penicillin, then the argument is that it's the weakest antibiotic still in use today - very few other bacteria are still susceptible to it and, according to studies, Streptococcus will never gain resistance. So why not?
