A neighbor needed me to fix something on his phone the other day and I noticed he was getting full-screen ads every minute that would appear over everything.. you couldn't hang up a call, call 911, send a text, nothing.

I tracked it down to an app he had called "7 Min Workouts" which was spamming the ads. Wild.
