Is a car on the street a private place deserving legal protections? If so then you can do anything in a car and claim it is private but surely that's not true. A passerby or a policeman has the right to look through the glass windows of a car. Perhaps what's going on here is people aren't happy that they have been caught out doing the wrong thing and solicitors smell money. I recommend not using a phone while driving because it can distract your attention and cause an accident which might injure or kill people.
