To be conservative with change that would be to the benefit of others is to deny them hope.

You may be happy enough with the status quo, but to deny hope (and a voice) to others who are not happy is inhumane IMO.

Well then so be it. As you say, I do have great privilege, and I wish to enjoy it. I have high regard for my own life, and that includes protecting tradition
