Markdown and the Slow Fade of the Formatting Fetish (ia.net)

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Markdown for it's elegance, simplicity and independence. And observing fresh ideas for using it like Marp for example builds up the hope it will get more popular.

I'm surprised to see courseware absent from the list of Markdown uses, but I assume it's not in-scope for iA Writer so that might make sense.

Content over presentation favors authors who have actual skills.

Speaking of formatting, one thing I've always found weird is the amount of time and effort people decide to fonts. They discuss things like readability etc. They're all readable! It's not that interesting!

Sounds like you're looking for Iosevka!

I switched to this as the narrow version was best working on a 12" monitor
