I know that some portion of profits from the game, even on Steam, will go to them because they funded and published it. But after the exclusivity expires I'd expect Remedy Entertainment will probably have the standard 70/30 split with valve and whatever Epic see from that sale will be a smaller percentage. I love Remedy and how they practice their craft and art.

Economic semantics aside, yes. I hate Epic so much I'll pay them again not to have to use it any longer.

Paying them for their tactics aren't going to change their decisions, only reinforce them.

Well. It’s literally the only game on epic I’ve paid for. And I’ll be giving their competition equal dollars. So game theory wise it’s a wash. They haven’t earned me as a repeat customer and I do what I can to avoid them.

Is it a wash, though? From their perspective, they ended up getting a sale from you they weren’t getting otherwise.

They took a loss funding the game. And they've invested far more in their store platform, and advertising, and in free games, in order to encourage my purchase. I dare say they've probably spent more to get my purchase than I've paid them.
