No, no direct connection. The quote resonated strongly when I ran across it. It sums up the conservative mindset perfectly, though in a way the vast majority of conservatives would fiercely disagree with.
Frank has a way of summing up most things perfectly in a way the vast majority of its adherents would fiercely disagree, if they were able to understand any of it at all!

So I wonder if the GOP gets their dream come true and cuts the 1% funding. Then I would say NPR could then raise funds via commercials.
Then their dream may become a nightmare since no other US news org is even pointing out the illegal actions by Trump and Friends. NPR may be free to report real news without the fear of funding cuts.
