A Ticket from Every Station to Northampton (Geofftech2) [video] (youtube.com)

A project to collect card tickets from every station in the UK to Northampton.

Seems strange searching around on the Internet to see that a big omission is from TfL tube stations. I am guessing this is a lost cause, one might have been able to purchase one when there were ticket offices, but these have nearly all closed.

I clicked on this assuming it was going to be my home town, Northampton, Massachusetts (obviously named after the original Northampton). After a long gap there is now passenger rail service to that Northampton again.

The UK version feels more practical as the most far-flung stations aren't as far away, although I realize I don't actually know whether there are more passenger rail stations in total in the UK or in the United States!

The United States is so much bigger, but trains are a much less used transportation mode here, but then again there are several large urban commuter rail systems in addition to the relatively spread-out national system. (Although on those systems you can't necessarily buy any long-distance tickets at all, so they might not count for the equivalent project.)
