I’ve been starting to see a shift in my use of ChatGPT. Over the past few months, I’ve started using it more for “knowledge” questions (eg: Can you give me a list of genes involved in disease X?). Where before I would have used Google for such a thing, LLMs have gotten good enough that for quick searches, they are “good enough”. Yes, you still need to validate the results, but it’s usually a very good start.

Bonus points for then being able to ask for the results in a specific format.

I’m looking forward to seeing how a feature built search engine starts to look.
