Obesity is the main cause of myriad health problems. It is both treating a symptom, and fixing a problem. Everyone dies, so all medicine treats symptoms at some level

Sure, but none of us know what the impact this drug will have on a societal level yet. Saying we've "fixed" anything is ridiculous.
