Show HN: AI detects resume "red flags" (github.com/sliday)

Based on the title, I absolutely hate this and there's nothing you can do to make me think it's a good thing.

Even if this is a perfect resume evaluation tool, anyone who refuses to have a human being check the resumes without automatic filters is not interested in building a good team. Actual employees must be the ones checking out new recruits. End of story.

Also, one of the companies I'm working with hopes to get all sorts of strict certifications and gov contracts, it simply cannot hire talent from Russia, North Korea, Syria, Iran and alike. Yes, the position is fully remote, but there's one hard requirement.

I'm not actually suggesting that it's a good thing, but it's a thing.

Consider this scenario: The company hires remotely and receives 1,000+ resumes. Most are spam and irrelevant. It would take the team days to read and process them.

This is exactly what I don’t want AI to be used for. It opens up so many avenues of potential abuse by the employer and is dehumanizing to people job searching. Add this to the dumpster fire of inappropriate use of LLMS.
