Currently reading the “The Posthumous Papers of the Pickwick Club”, I recently arrived at the passages concerning Fleet Prison (pray, no spoilers!), so I wondered who the present inmates of said confines are. They seem to be none other than PayPal! And there's a "Pickwick Coffee Club" just round the corner =D
A similar analysis for The Baroque Cycle would be cool (for undefined reasons...just in a Surprised by Joy sense I suppose). I am 2/3 through Quicksilver. It looks like the used copy of The Confusion that I ordered is missing the maps. I guess they are available on the map maker's website [0].
I recall that some digital map version of the track of Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance was interesting when I was reading that a while back.
I think a super-interesting project of similar concept would be to fully 3D model the apartment building from Life: A User's Manual by Georges Perec (Knuth: "perhaps the greatest 20th century novel" [1]). Hundreds or thousands of architectural and furnishing details are described in exquisite detail, of maybe 20 apartments across 6 or 7 floors. My apologies for any gaffs in this idea--I only made it about 1/3 of the way through the book mostly because of busy life.
