The great tragedy of the slow migration away from Bugzilla is the death of the quip list. The list of bugs may have been long and intractable, but at least there was a funny quip at the top. A personal favorite from a former employer was:
"Giving the Linus Torvalds award to the Free Software Foundation is a bit like giving the Han Solo Award to the Rebel Alliance."
There's always fortune(1), fortune -o, and if one is particularly adventurous, one can roll one's own store of fortune cookies.
Bugzilla apart, I have fond memories of the time when plaintext email was the default, and the mail client allowed one to append the output of fortune (or similar) to one's email.
