Court to Prohibit Hytera from Selling Products Containing Two-Way Radio Tech (businesswire.com)

Could somebody enlighten me how a U.S. court could impose a worldwide sanction on a foreign company (in is case Chinese)? Yes, I understand that Hytera is a global company with a subsidiary in the US. But is there not a thing as a jurisdiction? Maybe the case involved a U.S. patent dispute? But still, a U.S. patent is not a world-patent and has no validity outside of the US. So what is the legal basic for such overbearing claims? Just because we can??

This makes me want to buy some Hytera two-way radios!
