You will likely learn this yourself, but having done this transition in the past, the image I had of this world was simply not real.

Startups fake shit all the time, cut corners everywhere (even when they shouldn't) and the hustle culture exists primarily to benefit from employee overwork (free labor).

Coming from a developing country I always thought I would never be as good as "first-world developers". The reality is that the bell curve applies the same way everywhere. Most people aren't exceptional and if you're exceptional in your country, you're most likely exceptional everywhere.

If I were to give myself one advice in the past it would be: you're more than good enough.
