I'm all for demanding more transparency on environmental footprint. Hard numbers are hard to get by.
Having done some superficial research on media streaming myself, so far I found most of the energy is wasted in the network, not the data center. Worse, over half is ambient, unrelated to whether or not bits are passing over it.
Tentative highlight: fiber uses roughly half the electricity compared to copper, and is also cheaper to produce (in terms of natural resources).
