I have pretty mixed/negative feelings about this, but it seemed like a relevant, new tech event worth sharing here.
They're trying to start a viral signup campaign by paying lots of money for signups. They want to create a place that is free from hate, crypto scams, etc. It's a noble idea, but bribing people for traction seems antithetical to their core value proposition.
The virality seems to be working. Their servers are clearly on fire. My phone has yet to receive a sign-up code after 5m+ waiting.
