Sometimes I think about how Iceland has made it illegal to give children "names that cause embarrassment[1]" and wonder how such a law would work out in a society as diverse in the US. It would almost certainly be struck down under the 1st Amendment but handwaving that away.
Seems like Elon is naming his kids after the AI thinking machines from Frank Herbert's Duniverse. In a generation or two after they've been grafted with AI implants, we'll be fighting the descendents of Elon in the Butlierian Jihad.
I think you mean the awful prequels written by his son? Frank was fairly silent on the fine details of the whole "we hate computers now" thing; it was at least strongly implied to have been a sort of moral panic, rather than literally evil AIs ruling the world, in the original books.
