Rapidly flashing lights! At night! That is without a doubt the singularly most obnoxious signage I've ever seen. I hope the city is successful in getting it removed.

Must be having massive midlife nostalgia of the 90s:

Was thinking just let them keep their sign till I watched that video. That sign needs to be permanently unplugged.

Wow they’re strobing lights too. Must be awful for people at night.

Looks broken the flash pattern is so oddly cycled and weird that I thought there must be some illusions at play with camera frame rates.

I wouldn’t put it past Musk to have had it programmed in such a way to maximally cause discomfort.

Any airline pilot here would like to comment if this thing can be distracting, if not dangerous, for a landing plane?

Unlikely you'd even see it in a sea of city lights; not close enough to SFO to matter.

What purpose does that light serve?

It lets you see it in the dark

To piss people off.
