Good stuff.

Now what?

I was just talking to my wife -- we're going to feel the echoes of this for a very, very long time, and I fully expect our grandchildren to ask us what in the world was going on.

Did you ask your gramps about the '57 flu? And the '69 flu? Nope you asked them about Woodstock and the Moon Landing.

Finding the differences...if your grandchildren are a tiny bit inquisitive they'd ask why did your (our) generation put the world on hold for 2 years while some decades earlier we went on as business as usual to work and have fun and accomplish great things both in the realm of work and fun.

I asked them a lot about WWII.

But yeah, staying inside for a few weeks then going out but wearing masks or having to go to work or school on Zoom isn’t going to sound as Earth shattering as fascists almost taking the world by force.

you're right, i also feel this had modified my whole being. unfortunately there are many people still that object to calling the end of the pandemic, for reasons that escape me.

Governments media and health authorities radicalized people and then abandoned them afterwards. There is no "back to normal" messaging I've seen or interventions for people who were largely driven crazy by all the hype different agencies were pushing out. A responsible society would push people to act normal again, but we instead keep coddling crazies and promoting continued victimhood or special treatment for people that seek attention.
