You have a nice green field in your little town. There is this one guy that notices a gopher every so often and starts panicking and trying to get support to bring some professional to push them out.

Most people don’t walk in the field and have never seen or been bothered about the gopher or his little hole.

So everybody brushes this guy off as paranoid and his fears as exaggerated.

Then one day in your small walk you stumble upon the hole and start panicking yourself and trying to raise the problem.

You are wondering why isn’t everyone outraged by the gophers. Even that guy that used to warn everyone daily about the seems to not care anymore.

Well, it’s not that he doesn’t care. He is tired and defeated.
