I'm open sourcing my project, Answer Overflow, today! The goal of it is to improve the whole experience of asking questions via Discord.

Currently you're able to select channels to be indexed into Google and Answer Overflow will get that content indexed

Our roadmap is below:

* Hosting on your own domain

* Analytics - Get insights into your community, understand what the most common questions are and how you need to improve your documentation

* AI - Use AI trained off your server data to answer questions, improve low quality questions, and get summarize of your community

* GitHub Sponsors - Link to the GitHub sponsors of people who solve questions in order to help make it more sustainable for them

Please let me know any feedback you may have and also any pain points you've experienced asking questions via Discord! There's a lot of potential for improving the whole process and I want to make it the best it can be

Since the "Used by" is some kind of horrible marquee something, I can't readily tell but it looks like your own Discord is not among the used-by list. Is that true?

related to that, I somehow thought the sitemap protocol was that any such thing was referenced from /robots.txt (https://www.sitemaps.org/protocol.html#informing) but your site's robots.txt is 404 (https://www.answeroverflow.com/robots.txt) even though https://www.answeroverflow.com/sitemap.xml exists. One can certainly question whether "weekly" is the correct changefreq for a discord server url but maybe that's just a concession to some rate limit?

Thanks for pointing that out! The robots.txt file was in the location, that got messed up a bit in the move over the open source version but is fixed now

For the weekly changefreq on Discord server url, are you arguing that's too frequent or too infrequent? On the server page, it has recently indexed questions so part of the reasoning behind that being weekly is to capture those recently indexed questions https://www.answeroverflow.com/c/143867839282020352

Archived threads get a change freq of monthly since they don't change that often and active threads have a changfreq of daily as there is lots of activity going on in them

It's not in the used-by list as that's mainly meant to highlight communities that have a lot of activity as each one should be a good example and there aren't too many questions in my server yet

The goal is...help community builders manage their Q&A..?

Free for open source? How much for the enterprise tier btw? Have you got a starter pricing?

The goal is to improve the overall experience of support via Discord

For open source, there's the free tier that those communities are able to use

Still figuring out pricing on enterprise tier, that's going to be figured out from waitlist sign ups etc
