But be aware that hobbyist licenses still aren't supported for x86. Though for the past couple of months, VSI has said they're going to be available sometime this quarter...
I've been waiting for this as well... $dayjob used to run VMS on Alpha, and I always wanted to learn more about how the OS works.
When VSI said they were going to offer hobby licenses for x86 I jumped on it pretty quickly, but all they keep sending me is emails about package updates.
They said they were waiting for the native x86 compilers before opening the x86 hobbyist programs - which were just released (to paying customers) as a field test on Mar 15 - https://vmssoftware.com/about/news/2023-03-15-compilers-fiel... - so hopefully there will be an x86 hobbyist announcement in the next few days/weeks
