I don't disagree with this. The only complaint I have is the lack of devices with reasonable processors. Google used to make great devices with intel cpu's but not anymore, I think. There is no need now since I was able to install chromeos flex on my old dell xps which has an i7. Load the linux vm on there and it can do pretty much anything without the pains of windows shipping with instagram and candycrush. At least they have a desktop environment that works out of the box and you don't need to spend three ours installing gnome extensions. Which is fine if you enjoy such a thing. Anyway, I think it's a great alternative and the reduction of complexity and complication for the user will make it grow in market share. Also, the beauty of chromeos flex is that it doesn't ship with google play and there-like due to the missing security chips on non-google hardware.
