Canonical | Global fully-distributed | Full-time, remote | Software Engineer, Web Developer, UX Design | https://grnh.se/1d5e7b031us

We're currently hiring for a wide range of roles in development and design across a range of our products and services. May of our roles are globally remote - change the "All Offices" filter to "Remote" to view.

With Ubuntu, Canonical created the first Linux for human beings. Our design team is on a mission to turn complex, open-source software into intuitive products that can change the face of enterprise IT.

I have to say that over my 20 years of experience in engineering, I have never seen a worse candidate experience than Canonical. After spending probably 20-30 hours of interviews, tests, prep and jumping through hoops with people, getting a generic rejection notice with less details than most automated filters wasn't just a punch to the gut, it was actually incredibly insulting.

In fact it was such an insult that it has turned me off ever using any Canonical products or services and I will ensure in the future that none of my organizations use them either.

There is a reason Canonical has so many unfilled, open positions and it isn't because of their meteoric growth.

I think the long questionnaire that you're made to fill as the first step in the process is a give away of what's to come next.

It's so darn pathetic.
