Elon Musks Twitter vs. Apple App Store (twitter.com/elonmusk)

I am not sure what is Apple's strategy here. Twitter is used by their own users and barely anything has changed content wise in last month. It was always a cesspoll. Slap an age restriction and move on.

What they can do is to make using Twitter harder for their own users, lose 30% cut and users will still be able to use it through the browser. Sounds like bad business and brand image will definitely take a hit. Its not a battle anyone expected them to fight.

Half of the games in App Store are microtransactions and casinos for kids garbage. How about discouraging that?

I wish they focused on their privacy promise and introduced new milestones for app developers to achieve. Pass some kind of 'privacy friendly' audit? You get ranked higher in the search and etc.

If parents are okay with their 13-year-old kids being on Twitter, Apple shouldn't get to say no.

Why would Apple ever threaten to withhold Twitter from its App Store, without telling Twitter what they want Twitter to do to prevent that from happening? They could just as well immediately remove Twitter from the App Store.

They may be vague in their messaging (possibly on their lawyer’s advice), but I don’t think there’s no message.
