please stop adding things not in the original title, there is no need to put article dates in the title (with the exception of the year for things that are not from the current year)

Am I to assume you are a moderator at HN, or are you simply expressing your opinion?

I see that you duped your own topic. Not sure why.

I was previously informed by a mod that it is allowable is duplicate post 10 to 12 hours after the first post to service new readers, this does create the problem of duplicate comments.

A filter was written to prevent duplicate comments, but was removed from service, it needs a little more logic.

Thank you for moving your post here.

Yes, I well remember the system-d fracas!

Note Well!

Update the Linux kernel to 5.10.140. (Linux kernel bug ?)

Tails 5.6 is scheduled for October 25.

Still using systemd apparently: https://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=tails

A shame that heads development (systemd-free tails alternative) has gone cold: https://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=heads

Let me say I'm not a fan of systemd at all, it's one of the many reasons I run FreeBSD on my daily desktop (though not the main one for that matter)

But I wonder what the drawback is of systemd in this case. Does it expose vulnerabilities? For something like this that boots a clean image every time I would normally not care about the init system as I'd never interact with it.
