Gabriel: Kahlua is a very potent spirit that doesn't degrade nearly as quickly as other spirits (think vodka and other very strong liquors). Because of this the most noticeable change you will find in your bottle of kahlua is the coffee flavor. If the coffee flavor seems to have vanished, this means that the product is stale and will have reduced taste overall. Even if your kahlua is a bit stale you can still drink it but there is no point keeping it for too long. It's an easy thing to spot, it only takes one sip to notice the change.
