Fitt's Law says ease of use is a function of size and travel distance. Items on the edge of the screen have "infinite" size, so they're "infinitely" usable (according to fitts law)


I stack my screens vertically; therefore, menu bars on top of the bottom screen are indeed quite finite in size.


In practice, the longest single mouse run one can do is finite, and it may be comparable to a distance, depending on cursor settings.
