Hopefully someone clones and improves 3.4 to the point that this company goes out of business. We don't need companies who use open source to build themselves up and then stop giving back to the community as soon as they start to succeed.
It would be very unfortunate for ODrive to go out of business, and frankly I doubt that it will. Oskar is a smart guy. I'm tremendously grateful for the work that he and others have put into this project. His decision doesn't devalue the existing body of open work.
