First gas turbine powered by pure hydrogen (uis.no)

I kind of wonder, a lot of the energy for storing Hydrogen is compressing the gas. Would it be more efficient to recover that energy with a turbine? Or would it be better to just use a fuel cell?

I know that Hydrogen ICE engines tend to be finicky and produce a ton of NOX. Do turbines have a similar problem?

Wouldn’t a fuel cell be more efficient. I guess generating heat is the main purpose, but even so
