Road riders are also not really welcome on fixed gear rides because they're unwilling to hop curbs and scare drivers to keep the flow. It's different cultures and skill sets for sure but framing it as "discipline" is kinda shitty imo.

It takes discipline and skill to ride in a double paceline at speed. I don't know what else to call it.

We're just not interested in that particular thing, but we
are
disciplined. Riding to place in an alleycat absolutely requires discipline.
