This is good. I also added xslt to my blog feed for the same reason. The default behaviour in firefox is to display the ugly xml. Sometimes it downloads it so im unable to immediately inspect the contents. I believe browsers had a nice UX for rss feeds earlier.



There was a time when Safari had a proper integrated RSS reader. A blue icon in the search bar signaled the presence of a feed and clicking on it would reveal the feed. I remember the look and feel of its reader, essential. Similar to today's post reader but all in Helvetica.
